Once again I have been asked to bring the blog up to date (your fault Mr. Coles lol). This week I gave my notice of resignation to Andy. It's one of the hardest things I have ever done.
The reason for this is not to go and work somewhere else but I am buying my own truck and doing it for myself.
I am buying a Volvo VNL 670 and putting it to work at Penners so not a lot will change apart from who has to pay the bills. I hope to have it on the road by the beginning of next month, more pics to come nearer the time.
We had my parents come and visit again this year for Gary and Amber's wedding and we are planning a holiday in UK next year for my Nieces wedding.

Autumn is coming very quickly and we have had the logs delivered ready for winter. Sue has been working hard all summer in the yard and has kept it looking very nice.
I will get up to Winnipeg and take some more pictures of the truck as they prepare it for the road.

Hi Dom, I have never owned my own truck and never even considered it until recently but what do you do next when you have found a great company with great people but still ambitious and want to do more?
The Volvo I drive now hasn't been too bad but it's a 2005 and bits are starting to wear out.
I think most of the bad reviews were for D12 and D16 engines, I will be getting the D13 with I-shift which has faired pretty well straight out of the box according to most reviews and the opinions of drivers I know already operating them.
Thanks for your best wishes.
