The floods on I29 in North Dakota have receded a little but with more snow falling and rain forecast people are still expecting the worst. Even in Pembina at the border crossing with Emerson the army have been called in to erect flood defences, as seen in the bottom picture, to protect the Customs and Border Patrol offices from the expected flood waters.

Hi Dave, I have just come thru from Pembina to Fargo and all for 2 sections its all clear, but like you say its bordering on a disaster.
Dont know if its an optical illusion but the water in the fields seem higher than the road, unless its my eyes going a bit wrong.
Speak soon, Phil

It kind of gave me a wierd feeling of driving on top of water being completely surrounded by the stuff like that.

Wow, we have been so lucky, just sun, sun, sun for us, but I genuinely feel sorry for the poor buggers who have had to suffer the floods.

Drive safe.
