WELL DONE GARY, KNEW YOU COULD DO IT
We now have another driver in the family, Gary. He passed his driving test on Wednesday at the first attempt. Now we have a house full of drivers it's getting harder to get the car when I need it, you have to be up early, "first up best dressed" as they say.
The posting about hunting certainly caused some reaction. Some will be pleased to hear that I didn't get anything when I went out on Tuesday but I will be trying again today.
For those interested here is an article taken from "??????" magazine.
Article removed at the request of the editor of the magazine, although I fail to understand why.

Did you have permission from the writer and the magazine to repurpose this story on your blog? As the editor of Outdoor Canada, I know the latter not to be the case. A link to the Outdoor Canada Web site would have been acceptable, but taking the piece and pasting it to your site contravenes copyright. I kindly ask that you take down the story and provide a link instead. I'm not trying to be a pain. I'm just looking out for the interests of my contributors.
Thanks,
Patrick Walsh,
Editor
Outdoor Canada

Patrick, the posting has been removed and sorry but I will not provide a link to your site. I make no money from this and I had named both the author and where the article came from. I fail to see what the problem with that is.

Haha you better watch out Graham.

Perhaps you could do me the courtesy of sharing with your audience my second reply, as follows. I don't know how to make the reasons any clearer. That you don't understand is unfortunate.

Best,
Patrick

Taking material from our Web site (or print magazine) and reusing it elsewhere, without permission, whether with or without the writer's name and the name of the original source, indeed constitutes copyright violation. Again, I'm not trying to cause you problems, but rather protect the interests of our writer, and, of course, our own product. As I mentioned, feel free to link to our site, but I do request that the reposting be kindly removed.

Patrick, I think you will find I could not post your second reply as it was sent to me as an email and not a comment on the blog. I did not want to post it as I was afraid it constituted copyright violation but now I have your permission it is posted as requested.

Jesus, how petty...

What is the difference in cutting and pasting the artical with credits and putting a link to the story???

No one wants to trawl through loads of stuff to get to the artical in question...

Andy, as I stated I didn't see what the problem was. As he states maybe it is unfortunate that I don't understand 8) I wonder who has the problem in this instance.
